Who are we?

Established in 2021, Yamatai Records was born with a clear vision on the new age in underground focused Drum & Bass.

Taking influence from labels such as Critical Music, Delta 9 and Sofa Sound, Yamatai has quickly found its feet with a supportive fan base and excellent track output; with every track taking heavy influence from the underground scene.

Yamatai for me is the family that supported me from my earliest days making music and to have been able to grow along side them and see how far Yamatai has come the past 2 years is phenomenal. Forever grateful to the hub and community this platform has brought together and always proud of the ever improving music it belts out!

Being a part of Yamatai has helped me realise my potential and have the confidence to push myself in both production and DJing, knowing that I will be treated professionally at all times.

Being a part of yamatai has helped me in developing my own sound within music. I've been introduced to many different artists which have opened doors in my journey in discovering the more techy/leftfeild side to dnb. I gain inspiration from some of the wonderful artists in here every day and it's so nice to be able to connect with such like-minded people. The standard of music being released is ever-improving and the growth in the label over the past 2 years is insane. Banging tunes and good humans. 10/10
